Issa Traoré is the Coordinator of the EDM-SA de Diré Centre and has only known northern Mali since he took up his duties; from January 1999 to June 2003, he was technical operating agent for the Timbuktu power plant and from June 2003 to December 2014 he was head of the Kidal power plant. Since December 2014, he has been the Energy Coordinator of Mali for Diré. Mr. Traoré never fails to don his technician’s outfit in the event of a generator failure. Since his arrival, the city of Diré has not experienced any major power cuts or power outages.

Issa Traoré est le coordinateur du Centre EDM-SA de Diré et ne connaît le nord du Mali que depuis son entrée en fonction ; de janvier 1999 à juin 2003, il a été agent technique d’exploitation de la centrale électrique de Tombouctou et de juin 2003 à décembre 2014, il a dirigé la centrale de Kidal. Depuis décembre 2014, il est le Coordinateur Energie du Mali pour Diré. M. Traoré ne manque jamais d’enfiler son équipement de technicien en cas de panne d’une génératrice. Depuis son arrivée, la ville de Diré n’a connu aucune panne de courant majeure.
